Digital empowerment is a core pillar of Bharat RITES Trust’s mission to build an inclusive and future-ready society. In alignment with the Government of India’s Digital India vision, the Trust is committed to making one person in every household digitally literate—especially in rural and underserved regions.

With over 6,50,000 villages across India, the digital divide remains a pressing challenge. Limited digital access and low awareness hinder participation in essential services such as e-governance, online education, banking, and digital commerce. Bharat RITES addresses this gap by equipping students, teachers, and community members with vital digital skills.

Digital literacy today goes beyond basic computer usage. It includes the ability to find, evaluate, and create information using digital tools responsibly. From using smartphones and ATMs to booking tickets and making digital payments, these skills are essential for active participation in modern life.

Bharat RITES also facilitates training in advanced digital competencies like data analytics, AI, and digital marketing. Special focus is placed on empowering women and youth to ensure equity in access and opportunity.
