From Job Seekers to Job Creators
India must create over 10–15 million jobs annually to meet the aspirations of its growing youth population and sustain long-term economic growth. According to NITI Aayog, fostering entrepreneurship is a key strategy to shift the paradigm from job seekers to job creators. Initiatives like Startup India have made significant strides—by 2024, over 1 lakh startups have been registered, generating 1.2 million+ jobs.
Entrepreneurship fuels innovation, enhances productivity, and builds economic resilience. While high-tech startups grab headlines, it is equally vital to support grassroots, rural, and traditional enterprises, which can drive inclusive growth across regions. NITI Aayog stresses the importance of building localized entrepreneurial ecosystems, particularly in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
Bharat RITES Trust champions Entrepreneurship Development as a national imperative. Our approach includes mentorship, incubation, access to finance, market linkage, and capacity-building. We focus on empowering women, youth, and rural innovators, aligning with the vision of an Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
We collaborate with incubators, accelerators, VCs, and government startup missions to offer comprehensive support. Budding entrepreneurs receive access to seed funding, expert guidance, legal and financial consultancy, and investor connects. Exposure visits to leading start-ups and innovation hubs—both in India and abroad—expand their vision and capacity.
A flagship initiative is the establishment of Entrepreneurship Development Cells (EDCs) and Incubation Centers in partner institutions. These serve as launchpads for student-led ventures, supported by trained faculty through dedicated workshops and resources.
Bharat RITES Trust is committed to building a robust, inclusive, and future-ready entrepreneurial ecosystem that transforms India’s demographic dividend into a force for sustainable economic and social progress.
