Building India's Human Capital

India, with over 1.4 billion people and the world’s largest youth population, stands at a critical point where skill development is key to unlocking its demographic dividend. As per 2024 projections, the country must generate 10–15 million jobs annually. Yet, only 5% of youth (ages 20–24) possess formal employability skills, and merely 25% of graduates are job-ready. With 93% of the workforce in the informal sector lacking structured training, bridging the skill gap is an urgent national priority.

Bharat RITES Trust aims to transform India into a global human resource capital by creating a robust, industry-aligned skill development ecosystem. Through its Skill Development and Youth Empowerment pillars, the Trust facilitates practical, inclusive, and technology-driven skilling programs. These are designed in collaboration with corporates, government bodies, and sector skill councils, and are mapped to the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF).

The Trust focuses on emerging fields such as AI, data science, cybersecurity, robotics, and green technologies while ensuring integration of soft skills, digital literacy, leadership, and communication. By establishing Centers of Excellence in educational institutions, it provides infrastructure, certified trainers, and globally benchmarked learning resources.

Bharat RITES also links students with industries through internships, apprenticeships, and live projects, especially targeting youth in rural and semi-urban areas. It promotes skill-embedded higher education so students graduate with both academic degrees and job-ready competencies.

For Bharat RITES Trust, skill development is not just a program—it is a movement to build a confident, future-ready, and globally competitive India.
